This Thanksgiving was supposed to be so different.
We should have been showing off our brand new baby girl to all of our family and friends!
I should have been too exhausted to get up SUPER early to help cook all the food because I should have been up all night taking care of my new born.
We should have been late getting to our family’s house because our baby girl probably would have spit up on herself and her cute little Thanksgiving outfit I put her in, so we should have had to turn around and go home so that I could put her in the extra outfit I would’ve bought!
We should have been hearing everyone telling us how beautiful she is, seeing everyone laugh at her cute little noises and faces, and hearing everyone ask if they can hold her and/or take a picture of her!
Our angel should have been here for her first Thanksgiving! She should have been here to spend this day with us! She should have been the greatest thing that we had to be thankful for!
Instead, I woke up sad this Thanksgiving.
I woke up wishing that she was here for all of those things.
I instead, sat holding and looking at her picture.
That is when it hit me, that I still have so much to be thankful for!
I am so thankful for all of our family and friends, who have been there for us every step of the way.
Family and friends who donated their time to our page for our genetic testing. At: WWW.GoFundMe.com/jonandmeghnnpatton
Family and friends who took the time to check on us, pray for us, help share our story and just to show their love and support.
I am thankful for a wonderful man, who has stood by my side through our journey this year and has helped me stay strong through it all!
I am thankful for all that we have! We may not have have everything, but we have a lot more than some people!
Most of all, I am beyond thankful to God for allowing me to become the mother of such an incredibly special baby girl. And for giving us that precious time with her before He took her back to Heaven.
I know my little angel wouldn’t want to see me down, so I will keep on pushing and just be thankful for everyone and everything in my life!
God bless you all and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
In Loving Memory Of My Angel
